Been a bit tired lately, but really busy so that might be the reason why. Didn't do much today except ate lunch, talked to SBC about adding a toll-free number to our account, and went to Kinko's to order my business cards. I think I am actually going to make this real. It's scary though.

Franny came home early today because he has school tonight. He's not sure he's going to take the class, but at least he can make a better decision after he goes tonight. I'm printing out some pics right now. I'm trying to make real albums. It's nice to have photos online, but it's even nicer to have albums you can flip through whenever.

I'm going to DC tomorrow to pick up mine and Asuncion's bridesmaids dresses. I'm also going to SF to pick up some Moxa. I'm running out and I don't have an accupuncture appointment for another 2 weeks. I have to drop off some paperwork for Karen in Walnut Creek, too. And while I'm there, I'm going to pick up some more BP.

The weekend was nice. We went to a few parties...Auntie Leony and Uncle Jaime's 50th wedding anniversary and Colin's bday. Both were fun, fun, fun. Except for one incident that I would rather just forget. It IRRed me.

Went to Tri-Ced and St. Vincent de Paul yesterday, but they were closed. Darn. But at least the WM at Davis Street was open, so I got rid of a lot of stuff there. Mom & Dad are having a garage sale this weekend, so Arlene and I are getting together sometime this week to organize everything.

Talked to Jenn over the weekend and gave her the CU tank. She liked it. Cool. We always wear the same things, so I hope we don't wear the CU tank at the same time. LOL. Mine is red and spaghetti strapped, so it's kind of different. I like her black one more though.

Cheryl called on Sunday to talk about Eliza's Baptism and I told her about Eric's lost x-mas gift. WTF. How could someone lose another person's gift? It's almost time for this year's party. O'well. That just sucks for Eric. He's gotten shafted two times in a row.

I better run. I'm heading to Fry's soon.

I just took a nice long shower and it felt just divine. Would love to just fall asleep, but my hair's still wet and I refuse to use a blow dryer. I've had an extremely busy last two days. First of all, I am completely fine. I've been getting a lot of calls and emails lately from friends and family. I guess people do read this blog after all. Ha. I should have updated this blog on Monday when I got back from LV, but I was just to tired and I had tons of laundry to do. It was difficult to travel, but it would have been so much worse if I had come back on Thursday as originally scheduled. When I think about it, I get the chills. It would have been really painful. All I kept thinking at the airport was that I would have definitely needed a wheelchair, at the very least.

Dr. F checked me out before we left LV and gave me the okay to fly. Ultrasound revealed that everything was great. My pain almost completely subsided by Sunday night and no sight of any bleeding, so I guess I am in the clear. I think it was perfect timing to get a flight on Monday. I was able to carry some of my bags, but AC took care of the more heavy ones. Poor guy was carrying his bags and mine.

When we got back home, Franny was nice enough to cook us all dinner. It was good! Then we watched the 2nd to last episode of BB5 and the Apprentice. I think we got AC hooked on those two shows. Too bad BB5 ended. I can't believe stupid Drew won.

Ever since I got home, I have had this incessant urge to clean the house. I am so sick of all the junk that we don't have ANY use for. The two guest rooms were full of boxes of crap. Most of the time, it's easier to just move things around to make things "look" clean by hiding them in closets or putting them in boxes...but I didn't just want it to look clean, I wanted all those things gone. So, I spent the whole day yesterday going through the boxes and organizing everything into piles of "trash", "recyclable", "st vincent de paul" and "stuff that franny will kill me for throwing out even though I want to put them on fire". The rodeo was totally full of our stuff. It felt so good to get rid of it all. Not to mention it was a cleansing experience for me. Whenever I clean or organize the house, I feel really great inside. In a neat house, I accomplish more things, I think clearer, and I am less stressed. Who wants to live in a dirty house anyways, right?

After dropping off the crap, I went to Frys to get an iron. Ours broke right before LV. I can not live without my iron. Speaking of breaking things, I broke our shredder today while I was shredding bills and paperwork. It kept getting jammed so I got a little frustrated and accidently broke it. Oops. My bad.

So, I guess I'll be going to Target tomorrow to get another one. I found one for 30 bucks that looks decent. I did a lot today, too. I cleaned up the kitchen, vacuumed the upstairs, got some stains out of the living room, and finished up on the cleaning in the two upstairs rooms. It looks so pretty now. I still have to finish up a few more things:

Organizing photos.
Organize Franny's closet.
Organize the garage.

The garage will be a challenge because I can't lift the heavy things in there, so we'll see how that goes. I don't think I will start on that anytime soon though.

I haven't done any web stuff. I told myself that I am taking at least a week off from it. I need to focus on other things, like the house and the AP. A lot of things need to happen and I need to take advantage of the time I have off. However, I did create my business card. Ron is supposed to make it, but I didn't like his initial design. It just wasn't me, so I designed one myself.

Tomorrow, I have an early appointment here in San Lorenzo at 8am, and then another at 10am in SF. Crap! I forgot I have another appointment tomorrow in Fremont. How am I going to work that out? Because I also planned to get fitted for my bridesmaid dress for Jenn's wedding in Daly City. I hope it fits, but all the other girls have said that theirs were to big. It's strapless, so we can't have that thing fall off. LOL. I need to cancel one of these appointments.

Last night, I had dinner with Alvin, Ron, Jimmy, AC, and Franny in SF. We went to Circolo. It's a cuban/asian fusion restaurant. We saw Norman Vale's sister there. The food was good. I had foig gras. Tasty. The company was okay, but why am I always the only girl? Sometimes my mind wanders because I have nothing to say about baseball and I'm so sick of commenting about fine/cute girls. Jenn, why did you have to move to Sac, huh? J/K.

We had dessert at Citizen Cake. They always have the most unique desserts. I wasn't to impressed with mine though.

i'm pooped again

I had to postpone going back to the bay because I have an appt with my dr. on monday. I thought everything was okay, but after I got rest on wednesday, I woke up to really bad pain. Ugh. According to my discharge instructions, I had to check my temp every two hours and call them asap if I had increased pain. Luckily, I didn't have a fever, but I started bleeding. Not a lot at all, but it didn't stop. So, I called them anyways cause I started freaking out. It's gotten better though, but it's still there. It only happens when I get up or sit down. I can walk a mile or two and won't feel anything, but if I get out of a car or get up from my seat, it hecka hurts. Dr. F says that it was because I was bleeding a lot during the procedure so they had to stop and start many times. He said it should subside after a few days. So, he wants me to take some pain meds and to see him on monday to get everything checked out...just to be safe. So here I am, forced to stay in town. Poor me...not! I'm gonna enjoy it as much as I can.

Still managed to watch Mamma Mia that evening though. I just couldn't carry my purse and needed help getting up from the car or my seat. Despite that, it was an awesome show! I loved it. I didn't think it could impress me more than the last time I watched it, but it did. Not only was it entertaining, it was hilarious. I love ABBA songs, too. I just wanted to get up and dance at the end, but, of course, I couldn't. Boo =(.

Good news though. I won about a hundred bucks in craps, and about 160 in slots. For the slots, I only put in 10 bucks when I won. Oh, and did I mention I won a new 2004 BMW convertible? Nah, I'm just kidding. I wish. I was still pretty lucky or something.

I thought I was only staying for 2 days, so now I am in desperate need for clothes. I've got a nothin'. I didn't bring anything nice anyways since I thought I would be bed-ridden. Turns out that this trip is HELLA fun. We're going to two more shows on saturday and sunday nights..."O" at the Bellagio, and "Tony and Tina's Wedding" at the Rio. I'm so excited. So we went to the new outlet mall near stratosphere to find something decent to wear. Nice. They have BR, KC, Coach, D&G, Theory, Max Studio, and Guess stores there.

We got kicked out of Hard Rock because there's a big fight this weekend and they were booked solid. I really wanted to stay there. It would have been so much easier, but then we found some good deals for Green Valley Ranch Resort. I love this hotel. The only problem is limited internet access. We have a wireless powerbook and the hotel requires an ethernet connection. So we had to use the internet on the TV. Um...so slow. It's still a nice hotel though. It would be a good place to get married or re-married. When Lorraine, Cheryl, and I went to LV, we went to the spa here. Oh my gosh, the rooms are gorgeous. Extremely luxurious. I love it. And it was just a tiny bit more in price than Hard Rock. I can't tell you how I got it so cheap though. My little secret.

Gosh, I'm so sleepy. I need to get some rest.

Hard Rock Blues

Okay, I don't really got the blues, but I'm just vegging out here in my hotel room. The surgery this morning was uneventful. The anesthesiologist poked my IV in the wrong place and now I have a bruise this size of a golf ball on my right hand. But other than that, everything went as planned and now I'm just resting here. I might fall asleep or something. I need to veg for at least a couple of hours. Then we can play craps or go shopping or something. Surprisingly, I feel physically fine. No pain, no cramps...nothing. Oh, except I feel a little loopy. LOL. Anyhow, we ate at some japanese restaurant for lunch. It was okay. But last night we ate at Roy's and it was HELLA freaking good. Besides our main entrees and dessert, we got some sushi. I can't remember the name but it had lobster and a crunchy shell. We liked it so much we're going back for more around 5 for a very light snack. AC just told me right now that he got us tickets to Mamma Mia at Mandalay Bay. I've watched it already, but he hasn't. I'll just be sitting down anyways, so it won't be strenous for me.

I watched BB5 and Amazing Race last night. I am totally rooting for no one to win BB5. This was the worst season yet. Amazing Race was good. The couples were in Manila and Cavite. The had to put a jeepney together as one of their tasks. So funny! Oh and Chip and Kim put a yield on Colin and Christie. That sucked, but I enjoyed seeing Colin so frustrated. Hahhaha.

I'm a little sad because I haven't talked to the hubby yet. The last time I spoke to him was right before I went to bed last night. I left messages with him after they released me, but he must be busy at work or something. You'd think he would want to know that I'm okay. Very interesting. I would never have expected this from him. O'well.

Time to sleep.

It's still hot!

Been really busy as usual lately. Thank God it slowed down a bit over the weekend when I got to spend some time with the ladies. It was fun. Right now I am getting ready to leave for LV. And I'm complaining about the hot weather here? I'm sure it will be scorching over there. My flight's at 1pm. I'm finally getting sclero done to remove the persistent end. on my lt ovary. It's fairly non-invasive. I hear it only takes less than an hour, and then you leave. So, it's a very in and out procedure. Luckily, AC is coming with me cause I would hate to go there all by my lonesome self. I'm sure my mom and dad would have come if I asked them, but I just don't want to worry them about this. And if I took them, I might have gotten more stressed out than I needed to be. Anyway, Franny promised me that everything would be okay, so I'm gonna hold him to that if something out of whack happens. But anyway, we're staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. Nice.

Ken stopped by yesterday to pick up the CD's for the wedding. I was also emailing all the bridesmaids back and forth yesterday. We finally came up with a plan. Should be fun.

Don't got time to blog really. Just wanted to share a few photos on here:

Today was such a hot day. What is up with the weather lately? I generally like warm weather, but this is ridiculous.

My weekend was fairly eventful. Saturday we went to San Francisco to our Aunt's house in the Richmond District. She's the Counsel General/Philippines Ambassador. It was so funny how people treat her like a celebrity. She told us that she can't even go to the mall without some Filipino wanting to take a picture with her. She also has tons of servants that cook and clean for her, their house is HUGE. It's 3 stories and has 14 bedrooms...14 big bedrooms. Yup. No joke. It's like a miniature mansion. The best part of the house is the view of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is breath-taking. You have a nice view of the GGB in 60% of the rooms. Mom, dad, Mike, and Neisha went with us. It was a a relaxing break from all the stuff I've been doing.

Sunday we went to Tom's Thank You lunch at their house. We got to see Eliza. She's growing so fast. We also saw Joey, Verna's brother, there. Apparently, he knows Tom from one of his previous jobs. He's studying bio now at CSUH. I gave him a few pointers about the biotech industry. Funny how he has a computer background and he's trying to get into bio, and I'm totally trying to get out of it. I've been trying, but somehow I always manage to get suckered back in.

Ron has been pressuring me to complete his website. At first I said I don't got time! Hello? How many things do I have under my plate right now. A whole ****load. Okay, so I didn't say that. But I was thinking it. Here's a little background on his whole website dilemma. Ron is a Graphic Artist, who mainly works with Maya 3D. He asked me to design his website a year ago, but he didn't have much graphics at that point, so I didn't. I told him that once he gave me his content, I would design something for him. In the interim, I created something decent and quick for him to just put up. After about a year, still nothing new. All of sudden, around 4 days ago, he comes to me and tells me that he's desperate for his website to be completed because prospective clients have been asking him about his work. So, I was just a tiny bit irred that he wanted me to complete it so quickly when he lagged for over a year.

And, it just so happens that I have another website to complete. It's still in the early stages and my client will be looking at version 1.0 in two weeks. So I decided that the easiest thing to do was to complete Ron's website first...because he's one of my closest friends, his work is amazing, and last but not least, I wanted to get it out of the way so I can work on other things. So, I started it. Well, I spent a lot of time on it in the past few days, but it's still not ready. Mainly because he doesn't know what to put on his "links" page, or whatever page that links page will end up being. That extra page can be a guestbook, feedback form, Maya Forum, or even a product list with a shopping cart. He just has to pick something. The site also still needs a logo and some graphics on the contact page.

Even though it is not ready, he put it up on his site without telling me first. wtf? O'well. I guess what I have will do for now. His favorite part is the exit. Here it is if anyone's interested: Basorya. You will need flash and sound to view this site. Don't forget to turn off the music on this page before you head over there.

I'm sleepy already. I'm still so busy. I have to make a lot of call-backs, organize the bills, finish up Jenn/Ken's Wedding CDs, and I have tons of appointments in the next three days. I also have to re-design the BM letter and then once it's approved, go to the Kinkos and make 100 copies. I think that's how much I need. Oh, and I also need to request a copy of our marriage license. I wonder how long it will take to get it once I request it. I heard it takes about 4 weeks.

It's also Mom (Franny's mom) and Franny's birthdays on Thursday. Cheryl's birthday, too. On Friday and Saturday I will be out of town. Saturday evening we have an early dinner for Franny's birthday, and then on Sunday we're celebrating Franny's birthday with the Mendoza clan.

Last night we had dinner at P.F. Changs. It was pretty good. I usually don't think much of the food there, but I was surpried. After, we watched "Hero". It was entertaining...a nice love story, too.

I had the weirdest dream today when I woke up. Lots of death. It might be because Hero was fresh in my head.

I told Jenn about Franny not making it to Asuncion's wedding this saturday. It sucks! But AC said he would go with me so at least a meal won't go to waste. I was planning to wear this black outfit, but I might change my mind.

I have to do more car maintenance today. I hope it doesn't take to long.

Busy, busy....again.

Got no time to blog. I have to rush to a few appointments and then dinner in Berkeley with Alvin and them. I was stranded all day because Franny took both sets of keys to the car and our back-up key is messed up. So, I worked on Franny's music players and then I finished a new intro for my website. It only took me an hour. That's pretty good for me, because I can get really picky. This one has no photos of people. My last one had an MTV style photo montage, but I am done with it. Takes to long to long to load and I want to go for a simpler style this time. After giving it some thought, I might put in a "click to enter" button. Some people might not know how to get int. LOL. Feedback please if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks!
