Went hiking with the doggies today and then we took them to the UC dog park. It was fun. Got some Thai food and then headed home. Just washed some dishes and now I'm watching GH. We're going to N&A's for dinner. Jingo's coming with us so we'll see if he likes it over there.

Watched Average Joe last night with Adam. Interesting.

Changed the design on Franny's webpages. Still working on other people's sites. Ron finally gave me images from Maya to work from. They're looking pretty good. Nothing much going on. Made chicken adobe last night. Gonna try some slow-cooking recipes tomorrow.

I'm so tired

We went to lunch at this upscale French-Vietnamese Restaurant in CV. I did not like it at all. I was still hungry after leaving, too. Sucks, but at least we know not to go there eVeR again. After we went across the street to Ross and then a European Bakery for a Fruit Tartlet. Yum! We went to do more errands and then went home. I was so tired that I instantly went to my room to take a short nap.

I didn't do much over the weekend. I already wrote about what we did on Saturday and Sunday was pretty much a chillin' day also. I had lunch with Ron at Applebees and got a Honey Chicken Burger. I gobbled that thing up fast. I've been so hungry lately. I don't know why. We kicked it at Fry's Electronics afterwards and then went home. Dang, I just remembered that I took a nap yesterday too. What's wrong with me? O'well. Then around 5:30pm, Franny and I headed to All Saints for 6pm Mass. We saw Mrs. Jessica Lorenzo-Uk and her family there.

We got some dinner at TGIFs in Union Landing. I didn't want to go, but Francois made me. Oh, and then the funniest thing happened. We went grocery shopping at Albertsons and saw a certain someone, an ex-friend of both of ours. That place was so empty...there was like 10 people there...and of all the people to run into, we run into him. Ugh. This person used to be a very close friend to me back in high school and Franny ever since middle school, but obviously things have changed. He has succumbed to the dark side (his evil gf) by looking the other way while the evil one ruined all of their friendships. O'WELL. I guess it doesn't really matter anymore. Things have gone way to far. Some friendships are not worth saving. It just IRRed us to see him again. He had a look of dismissal as expected. He didn't even look either one of us in the eyes. Well, it was funny as heck too though...we got a good laugh when we almost ran into him with our grocery cart as we turned a corner. Hahah.

Okay, don't need to waste any more time on that subject. I made it priority to catch up with some people today through email or calls...Vangie, Charlene, etc. I also talked to Chris today and we caught up a bit. I'm glad she's really doing well. We all might have lunch again sometime next week. I was writing to Jenn and Jay back and forth through email and of course, it always cracks me up. Jenn reminded me to set up a meeting with the dressmaker to get fitted since I can't make it when everyone else is going there on Saturday. I should make an appointment for early next week. I can't go on Saturday because it's Cheryl's baby shower in SF. I still need to go to Babies R Us for her gift. I hope the registry isn't completely gone. That would suck.

We just made some basil Sausage and Pine Nut Pasta. I was absolutely starving. I haven't really eaten pasta because of the whole Atkins thing and it tasted so yummy. Gosh, I miss it.

Anyway, AC and I can't wait to start Kendo training. I'm so excited. It looks so fun!

Yo Yo Yo

I just watched an episode of Dallas on SoapNet. What a blast from the past. So funny! LOL. My parents used to watch that stuff, no wonder I ended up being addicted to soap operas. Actually, when we were kids my lola watched soaps while she babysat us so maybe that's how I got hooked on the daytime soaps. I just ate some green beans with portabella mushrooms. It was yummy. Oh, and a whole mango. I love mangos. Dang, it tasted so good but I don't think I should have ate the whole thing. There's so much sugar in it! O'well.

Franny crashed on the sofa when we got home. We spent the day at Brady's playing Cranium and Trivia Pursuit Pop Culture DVD edition. Poor Brady got so scared when the Trivia Pursuit question on Dennis Rodman came on. I don't blame him. Rodman looked like a clown. It even scared me a little.

I didn't feel like sleeping all that much after we left. I was feeling restless so I moved all my clothes and shoes from my walk-in to the other room. I figured I should clean out the closet completely so Franny can assemble our new cabinets. I can't wait. And DANG I got a lot of clothes. I think I need to make another trip to St. Vincent De Paul this week. Btw, the closet organizer is finally up in the master bedroom. It looks darn good! Snaps to Franny for getting that thing up. I already put my portion in the right places. I think I'm gonna need more space though.

Anyway, while I was cleaning out everything, I came across this box with a bunch of really old cards and letters in it. I guess when I moved out of my parents house, I just threw the cards and letters that were important to me in that box. I haven't looked at them all this time. Anyhow, as I was reading them I got so freaking emotional. There were so many cards/letters from Franny...even from way back in 1993!!! It made me remember how things used to be. It was so cute. And I got a few cards/letters from other people that I was once close to. I read this birthday card from Paul and it totally cracked me up. The cover of the envelope said..."to the 20 year old brat, from the 19 year old genius". Hahaha. It was sweet, too, though. He wrote about our friendship and about what he remembered about me each year that we had known each other. I almost forgot how really close we were. Well, he was my shopping and eating out buddy during college. Ah, the memories. I also had a few from AC, my bestest friend in the whole world. That guy was always there for me even when I was a meanie. And wow even cards from Cindy, Jeff, Ry, Bri...hahahah. LOL. I don't even know what they're up to nowadays.

Ron has been working really hard on his Maya designs and he's gotten a gig as the graphic design for flyer production. Very impressive. I have to begin his new website. I'm just waiting for him to give me some photos. Hello??? It's been months! J/K. Him and Jeem are going to Club NV tonight. They want me to go, but I'm just not in the mood for that. Ron always says that I flake, but I just don't feel up for it. AC just made a comment about how it's funny how I love house/dance music but I rarely club. Why do I need to go clubbing when I can listen to the music here at home? LOL. I guess I'm more of a homebody lately.

Overall, we really just chilled the whole week. Whattalife. But seriously we did get some good cleaning/re-organization done.

I am so happy that the refrigerator is finally cleaned out. We took everything out, disassembled the containers, and washed each part in the sink. It was completely over-due, but makes such a difference. It's pretty empty though. We bought some organic fruits and vegetables at Whole Foods yesterday, but that's pretty much it. Okay, I'm hungry again. I'm gonna go eat something...
