I think I made a new journal record...

4 weeks since I have last written. Boy, I'm so bad. Of course, I've just been extremely busy with everything. Things seem to be calming down, but next month is going to worse than this month...and it's only a few days away.

It's really hard to go into the details of my last few weeks. Things have been happening...I can't really say yet, but it's been happening a whole lot. Don't mean to confuse anyone who's been reading this, but I don't really enjoy spreading news to the whole internet population. Ask me in person and maybe, just maybe, I'll tell ya.

I'm happy to say that I have gotten over the "Darkness Falls" ordeal. It didn't take me two weeks to get back on track as expected. After two days I was definitely a-ok. Maybe because I know that it was just a stupid movie - and an unrealistic and cheesy one at that. I was more frightened over the stories that actually happened. AC - the Orinda story still gives me the chills.

Oh, before I forget. A few birthdays have passed or will be coming around soon, so big hugs to the following people:

Ryan, Brady, Leo, Jay, Ceasar, Paul, JJ, Lorraine, Arlene, Norbert, Chris, Jerome, Ellis, Vincent

We missed the annual August b-day picnic with friends. Francis & I were in LA for a couple of days. We hung out at the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica, went to a farmer's market in Melrose Place, had dinner on Sunset, and went shopping in Hollywood & Highland. Plus, we found this gigantic shoe warehouse on our way to Santa Monica and we ended up getting matching red/white Pumas. Besides all of that, we just hung out at the townhouse in Studio City. To bad we never got to use the gym or the swimming pool though. They both looked cool. Overall, it was a relaxing weekend.

Work has been so-so. My next train-the-trainer course design is about 60% complete. It's something I've enjoyed creating, but we'll see how things go when I teach the course. I wanted to make this one different, since most of my employees are more experienced now. The other area that's taking to much of my freaking time is that training software validation. No, I am not a software person nor a validation engineer...yet, I am in charge of the validation. Yes, very strange....but nothing really surprises me when it comes to work anymore.

Work is something you have to do. How many people actually love their job anyway? I'm talking about having passion and drive and all that good stuff for your job. If you do, then I have to give you props cause you are a rare find. Most of us just come to work because it keeps us busy and it pays pretty darn well. We work hard, withstand pointless meetings, and then eventually go home...which I am waiting to do right now.

As far as other projects, Ron's new website (intro page and layout) is 80% complete. There are still some finishing touches that I need to add, but I'm sure it will be complete before his 9/9/03 release date. I also changed the layout to my intro and photo gallery pages to this. After having a website for awhile, things can start looking quite stale. I wanted to liven things up a bit. I really like the new gallery, especially the colors. Besides, I wanted all the pages on my site to have the same basic color scheme and layout. I have a weird habit of changing things around to often though. I can't help it. It's fun and I like seeing what things I can come up with.

Well, that's my little summary. Don't forget to check out my other pages and let me know that you were here by signing this journal or visiting my guestbook.
