Wow, so a few days have passed since I last wrote in this thing. I'm not quite used to it yet. But let me tell ya what's being going on lately...

Hmm...yesterday I spent most of my time at work and then came home and tried to get some rest (still recovering from that cold). But of course I ended up on the computer and just couldn't get off of it. It's so new and nice. Who could blame me? I'm addicted. Heheh. Francis knows this to be true and he finally had enough of it. He made me watch a pay per view movie with him called...hmm...what was it called again? Darn it. Can't remember. It was about a..........oh okay, it's called "Barber Shop". Hahaha. How could I forget that? I'm such a dork. I didn't think to much of it though. It was about a guy wanting so much more out of his life only to realize that what he had wasn't bad after all...he realized that success wasn't about getting rich, but about making a difference in other people's lives. Isn't that how it always is? We want what we can't have and then when we get it, we find out it's not what we want at all? I guess the moral of that story is that we shouldn't take things for granted. Who and what we have in our life is a blessing and we should always be thankful for it. Well, I guess we all fall into this mentality once in awhile and we should always try to keep it real. As you can see, I go off on these tangents every so often. About the movie, overall it wasn't terrible, wasn't great either...3 stars.

Today was spent with my family at our quarterly "limpics" event. What's that you may wonder? Well, it's my family's version of the olympics. Get it? oLIMpics. Oh, alright, that's cheesy I know. Hehe. There was a small turn out today so they only played basketball. This is when we all get together to play basketball, football, volleyball, etc. It's mainly a guy thing. Not that us girls can't hold our own (shut up guys!). Prior to the event the guys are SO hyped up and there's so much smack talk going on, but once the big day hits they're all so nice to each other. It never fails. Why is that? Maybe because guys like to talk big with their macho attitudes. Haha. I'm just trying to male bash. Well, as for us girls, we just went to Stonestown and hung out with the little ones for awhile to kill the time. I had to go to J Crew to pick up a birthday gift and my nephew got a new pair of shoes. It was fun. It's always fun being around a lot of children. You laugh so much and are always amazed at the smallest things. They really do bring such joy to your life. I'm looking forward to the day that I have one of my very own =)

Gosh, enough of that sappy baby stuff. So we got some ice cream at Polly Ann's Ice Cream Shop in SF and it was really good. For indecisive people, you can turn a wheel that will pick the flavor for ya. You even get a chance to get one for free. I decided to stick with vanilla of course since I gag at the sight of chocolate ic. I did notice something outside the window of the store though. There were a bunch of interesting quotes and one in particular stuck to me. Here it is:

Brilliant people talk about ideas.
Average people talk about things.
Small people talk about other people.

Unknown

It's funny cause both me and my sis-in-law turned to each other and said, "I guess we're small then". Haha. But the quote does make sense though...dontcha think? I should put up a quote and poetry section on my site. I'm always so interested in both areas. Okay it's a little past 9 in the evening and I'm going to try really hard to get some sleep. Night world.
